Can anyone give me a guestimate value/price for the following please?

Approx 14.2hh Registered Welsh Sec D mare.
Well bred, Sire a winner at Welsh Champs
3yrs old
currently in training ready to be backed, lungeing nicely, shown in hand, won and placed. Good to load and travel, with farrier, wormed, vaccinated etc
Lovely temperament

Likely make a good jumping pony as shown prowess on the lunge and very careful

Any ideas?

Quite a difference then? I paid more for her as an untouched 2yr old than your estimate Flowerlady. That's not to say you're wrong though.

I know a lot of people think an unbroken pony is pretty much worthless, just interested to know whether a backed or unbacked 3yr old makes a difference to peoples' assumed threshold in what a pony is worth?

have you got a piccie?
depending on her breeding, welsh cobs can fetch anything between £850 - to over £5000 at builth cob sales...
i would estimate £1500 minimum unbacked to £2500 backed, going and ready to do a job..
funny thing is if you asked the same question about a TB or WB on her people would over estimate value......

She is well bred by sounds of it,so breeding prospects good(although unproven broodmare)!
Won and placed in hand showing, making good progress with work,i would say £2000-£2.5k!!!
Wait till backed and going well, easy make the £2.5k!

Please don't think I was being rude. My OH says I live in the past with prices about 10 years ago according to him. But from what I've seen etc around here where I live people always ask too much wonder why they don't sell and end up selling for 1/2 the asking price or less. And that is for a broken in horse. But Maybe that's just me being synical. I didn't mean to offend I also thought it was a horse you were looking at and sometimes I think it does make a difference as to what you are willing to sell her for. I suppose a horse is only worth like anything what someone else is willing to pay tbh.

Oh no, I didn't take offence at all Flowerlady.

Actually, I'm with you and still can't believe how prices have shot up. Still feel £2.5k is a reasonable amount to expect to pay for a decent RC horse !!
