I have one and travel my chunky 16hh Id in no problem. Drives beautifully and he travels well. I have removed the centre partition to give him more space. This also makes it easier to tack up in.
I much prefer it to towing. Much easier and feels safer. Its also handy for picking up furniture and stuff.
It's a good conversion that was checked by a mechanic who is horsey before I bought it. I've had it 5 years now.
Head height would be what I would look at, a friend tried her 16.3 in and it really didn't look big enough for him so definitely try before you buy.

Lovely stuff, which one do you have, the Renault master one?

Yeah we would take the partition out as she has the back out in the trailer anyways! I think we'd quite like the sleep we'd get in it when we (hopefully) go to champs etc as the tent isn't fun at all, as you could imagine! Would definitely come in handy as well as just using fr the horseyyy!

Thank you:)

Mine has a payload of 1100. Me plus half a tank of fuel is approx 150, say 100 for tack, spare wheel, hay and water, that leaves me with enough for my 15hand Standie and a passenger. Not sure I would want to carry 2 unless they were ponies

we would never carry 2, it would only ever be her!
