Horse vet

MacArthur Barstow and Gibbs:

I got lumbered with them when the equine/farm section of Vales merged with them. The worst 18 months of my horse life - they are now my ex-vets - be warned - useless at teeth and useless at scanning in-foal mares. This is my: "malformed conceptus with no heartbeat."

Smart foal.

They have been nothing but wonderful with my horses.

This is for a sales vetting only

A sales vetting is ruddy important. I would definitely try for Mark or Liam at 3 Counties - they KNOW their horses. They won't miss anything but they won't fail a horse based on a teensy imperfection.

And he IS a beautiful baby - I sweated and sweated until he was born - expecting him to be deformed. I'd sacked them before he was born - so he HAD to be called Indigo Final Saga (Finlet for short.) Bold as brass he is too.

JG, he is lovely....

Only problem with him is he is SO bold! Last week, a lost toss pot driver came down our drive - right past their field. I caught him and made him reverse out - huge lorry (it took down my neighbour's power line) - and who was right on the fence line saying: 'Did you bring me food?' And tossing a big bale over the fence off the front loader is a nightmare - you stand their and jiggle the tip until he moves enough for it to be dropped safely.

My vets are three Counties Equine hospital. TBH all of the partners are very experienced, I also rate John Campbell very highly. John is vetting Rose for me on Wednesday. What and where are you buying?
John is a partner at three counties.

Hopefully an pure bred Irish draught gelding - he’s very handsome and does everything I need ... I have all appendages crossed that he passes - having lost sales on 4 in a row now I’m hoping that this one is a stayer... and yes he’s grey .. but I’ll just have to invest in a horse shampoo company!
