I'v always brought my mum with me although she's not really horsey. I'd be happy to go on my own because i'd know what i was looking for, i'v had people come and view my previous horses on their own. If you do go on your own dont let the seller intimidate you or give you the hard sell if you know what i mean, most people would not be like this however after working on a dealers yard i know how this can happen! very best of luck x
I'd prefer to go on my own the first time, and take someone along for a knowledgeable second opinion the second time.
Going on your own means you focus on exactly whether you like the horse or it meets your needs. Second opinions can be very valuable, and of course taking someone else means they might spot things you miss, but it can interfere with your gut feeling. Of course, there are pros and cons for both - going alone or taking someone else - I just prefer to go alone!
For a second viewing, I'd always want someone knowledgeable.
I dont think it matters if youre with anyone or not. If you have the knowledge, why not. I personally like taking someone with me to video me riding the horse but other than that its me that asks the question, pokes around the horse etc!!
If i had a choice, id take someone. If i didnt, id still go and see the horse cos it might just be perfect
