It's official - my horse is a complete pi**ock!!! (I do still love him dearly and won't sell despite earlier threats).
Went out on a hack yesterday and he was a right git. As soon as we left the farm he was spooking at everything. If he saw anyone he walked like he had 3 broken legs (drama queen!!!) I had to nag constantly to get him to do anything.
He was hard work and I was knackered.
Today I decided to school him. Complete contrast to yesterday, I was almost holding the bit rings in an attempt to slow him down.
It was as though he'd had a bag of hard feed for tea!!!
He huffed and stamped his way through transistions, tried to canter when asked to trot, threw in a couple of bucks and tried to tank over a jump. We came to an understanding when he received a good bo**ocking!!! For his efforts he had an extra 15 mins of schooling - and I did allow him a canter at the end!!
Still, at least he isn't a riding school plod!!!
