My horse has just been blood tested and has a virus. He's stabled with turnout every day and rugged up well.

What more can I do? Anyone got any good advice? Supplements? etc

Thanks

Also how long should he take to get over it? Vet says to re-blood test in 2 months?

He's not ill, just off colour. Has still been out competing but just not on form so vet says not a very bad virus???

Mine had a virus a couple of months ago I think. I give her some equiform equicell, a friend recommended it when my other horse had a virus and it does work as a good pick me up.

Just the same sort of tlc that you would welcome if you were laid low by a virus, ie tempting, nutritious food fed in small, frequent meals, warmth but with plenty of fresh air too, being allowed to be clingy and needy and having all your fave programmes on the telly. Well, maybe not the last one but you get the idea! Hope he's on the mend soon xxx

Thanks everyone. I've spent lots of money total with Global helps and bought a detox thing and an immune booster. It's sunny today so good fresh air and grass will also help.
