Hello,

Just some ideas for getting my horses hind quarters stronger. He is up to date with everything and recently had physio in which it was remarked that he has a weaker back leg. He is not lame and is very happy in his work, worked well on the bridle and using his back end. What can I do to help his backend to make sure this weakness doesn't become an issue. He is jumping well although he sometimes leaves him hinds behind also so anything that can make him more aware of his hinds in general would be helpful. He is still very much a work in progress having been off work for about 2 years until last July so its all been very much slowly slowly catchy monkey.

Thank you in advanced :D

hills, hills hills, then when you're bored of hills, MORE hills :p

lunging *correctly* in an outline with hocks right under them can help, as can lateral work whilst schooling :) that should also help with the leaving them behind etc- a horse used to working correctly usually knows where his feet are :)
