ps i put this in vet but need help asap

Wait and see what he says! Worm had a really bad back a while ago, and yet it took very little to fix! keep him turned out if possible, to keep him mobile and stop him getting stiff in the meantime!
Don't worry yet :)

I had this with my mare about 20 months ago. She didn't buck, but every time I asked for trot, I got canter, but not a proper canter, she was bouncing off both her back legs at the same time and doing it sideways.

She was suffering at the time from a locking stifle, and I think that she could keep her legs straighter and not stretch them out behind her in bouncy canter as she would in trot, and the reason is that she was worried about her stifle locking.

However, the locking stifle was connected to a sacroilliac injury which she still has (probably always will) and that I have to manage very carefully.

Won't go into detail until you find out what's wrong with your horse, but if you think it sounds similar to mine you're welcome to PM me.
