Horse With No Name

What does it mean if you buy a horse from a market, His passport shows he is DNA tested, Mircochip etc but he has no name! He is registered with Wetherbys and i have his breeding (he is rising 6) but he has no name at all?
Do i just make him up a name - we are calling him Bradley at the moment!

He still has his foal passport! you can't name TB's until they are a yearling?? and it costs a lot, so a lot of people don't bother if they aren't going to race.. a TB mare my boss bred wasn't named until she was eight (on her passport lol)
