Ever since having his hocks done a couple of weeks ago, my horse has been breathing oddly. Even just walking him in from the field you can hear him exhale really loudly. Out riding you can hear him nearly every stride - sometimes just an exhale, other really loudly.

I'm sure his whinny has changed too and is quieter. He seems fine within himself but is just breathing really loudly. I started soaking his hay again and it's barely made a difference. He doesn't appear to be laminitic at all.

He is suspected PSSM2 which I'm wondering whether that's having an effect. Or whether it's an allergy or sonethibg to do with his throat. I'm ringing the vet tomorrow to get him seen. It's not him being unfit as he is doing it just walking in from the field!! He's not overweight and gets 2 meals a day and ad lib soaked gay when in. He's got no snot.

Any ideas?
