mmm, i do have a miklem for her, but not convinced its making any difference, my instructor suggested trying bitless :-)
dont know how that would go down showing and for dressage though!
 
You have to have a bit for dressage. I'm not sure about showing but I imagine you'd be makred down for it even if it's allowed.
 
It's because there is a front & back strap to the noseband & the back strap runs through metal rings on both sides thereby allowing it to move with the jaw more & when it does move it doesn't have as much impact on the front of the nose. Well that's the simplified reason anyway, I'm sure some googling will get you it in far more accurate detail.

If a Cavesson is fitted loosely it doesn't have any impact on the front of the nose 🤔
