Hi everyone I have a bit of issue over the weekend my horse refused treats , hard feed, hay pretty much everything was pawing the ground and showing her teeth. I monitored her for a 1 hour and got the yard owner to check on her she was completely fine. We checked the hard feed to make sure it wasn’t gone off it was fine. She started to do it again today but seemed to snap out of it after 15 minutes and want back to normal again. I really confused why this keeps happening does anyone got any suggestions.

I'd have a chat to your vet, it does sound like episodes of colic and you don't want to wait until she has another one in case it's far worse.

Just re worms - speak to your vet before worming if you do decide to. Wormers can be very harsh on their stomachs and could cause a bad bout if she's already sore/ sensitive.

That would be fairly classic for tapeworm blocking the gut.

It can also be a sign of significant liver damage, suddenly not wanting to eat. I’d check bloods just to confirm all ok.

Didn’t realise this until my yard had a problem last year.

Don't rule out season issues (you say "she" so I assume it's a mare), my horse used to have "mini colics" caused by her seasons. Long story but now she has had her ovaries removed and she no longer has any issues. They lasted a few hours up to a day and it was colic symptoms, but no rolling. Pawing the ground and off her food.
