Well after humming and haaing and looking thro previous threads decided to spend the humunguous amount of money on the Horse First Relax Me Calmer (£45!!!!!) Little toad will not eat his feed with any in it! Have tried to "disguise" it using the following - polo mints added to feed, apple juice to damp down feed, speedi beet to damp down feed. Anyone any bright ideas - he has to have a loading dose & he just will not take it. It must taste pretty awful as he normally eats anything!!!!!!

you might need to introduce it very gradually rather than following instructions straight away, starting with just a pinch, then afew more etc. I've just had to do this with SuperCalm, mare kicked over her bucket in disgust first time it was added. Now shes used to it and hasn't noticed me building it up each day.

I have a very fussy eater who can sniff a new supplement miles away, the only thing that works is grating carrot and mixing it in with the feed - that way he can't pick them out. A food processor makes this much easier!

Unless you especially want to use that calmer you could switch to something like Equine America Magnitude which doesn't appear to have an taste to it, or load with that and then add tiny amounts of the Relax Me until you are up to a daily dose. You can load with pretty much any brand of magnesium calmer.
