Horse won't pick up rear offside and instead lifts nearside rear

Hi

We got a new horse about 2 months ago. He hadn't done much work before we got him.

He's happy out over the moors for a 2 hour hack and doesn't appear lame but.....

About 3 weeks ago we couldn't lift his back offside foot. He just lifts the nearside one when we try to lift the offside, maybe like he doesn't want weight on the nearside one? He's fine with all 3 other feet.

He doesn't appear lame or anything. We thought at first he could be being naughty but now not so sure. He is Welsh Sec D 7 rising 8.
