My welshie will not stand whilst being ridden but he will stand to be groomed for hours. He isn't in any pain, he will be fidgety whether he is wearing a saddle or not. He just wants to move. If I ask him to stand then he paws at the ground and walks backwards, I want to take him to riding lessons at my nearby riding school but he needs to be able to stand still first. Any ideas?
