Horsebox 6ft 6 wide. Is this too small for a 15hh cob?

Horse wears 6.3 rugs. I think in the lorry she could stand herringbone but I do wonder if 6ft 6 is a bit narrow ??

I'd say too narrow.
My 7.5T had an internal width of 2.35m, my 16.2hh in 6'6 rugs could not go horizontal and needed to be reasonably angled. The width you describe is significantly less

I have a slant load trailer that is 6'7 internal width. My 14.2 chunk of a welsh D who wears a 6ft3 rug travels at a forward angled herringbone with no problems :) Though I guess if you are splashing out on a lorry you might as well get a roomier one!

Are there lockers on it? as in room for heads over them to give more room or is that wall to wall??
How many horse are you transporting?
How much room can the horse have if the partitions are set wider to let them have more neck room? Because if you pin the partitions further apart you can angle it so you can. My Horsebox ( the old one) was 7.8 wide but transporting one and having pinning the partitions wider. I got a 17 1 it which was in 7 ft rugs just by slanting the partitions over more.

If you'll only be travelling one then you could take the partitions out or move them right forward and back. My box is a forward facing one but I've pushed the partition over so the pony has all the space and can stand forward or at an angle, all my ponies travel great this way and there is loads of room inside for tacking up etc.

Youd need to ensure the bulkhead was good though or have some sort of breastbar arrangement - perhaps one of the existing partitions could be used to keep the horse away from the bulkhead so one partition at the front end, one at the back behind the horse and a lovely space in between

Seeing as most 3.5t (assume your possible one is if its a sweet little box) cannot take two horses plus gear etc so setting the back up to travel one comfortably is a good idea

I'm certain I could turn her easily. She's incredibly flexible (almost unnaturally so) but I just worry that she'd be squashed up travelling. Think this may not be feasible sadly 😞

You may get her in and be able to turn her but I am pretty sure she will have to concertina up her head and neck whilst travelling. This may effect her balance and depending on how long you travel her for will certainly cause muscle tension and soreness in her neck - not great, but especially not so if you intend to do dressage at any level. In my opinion therefore the lorry is too small for the horse you intend to travel.

Hmm. I do tend to agree with you. Only may it may work is if I could set the partition very steeply slanted to give extra length. But yes, but gut feeling is that it's just slightly too small for us 😕
