My Dad and I are having a horsebox made, and in around 5 weeks I have to choose the colour. The interior is already decided upon as it is the same as the one we looked at this morning which was already sold, and looked really smart inside! I also loved the colour of the one we looked at this morning, it was BMW electric blue (like the mini blue) so very tempted to have this colour done.

I really would like it silver and blue but was wondering whether anyone had any images of their colour schemes of their boxes which would give me some more ideas? Also, any logo ideas would be great!

We had one made recently and went for classic navy blue (almost inky blue) with silver stripes. We did borrow one which was silver with navy and burgundy swirls - that looked pretty smart, but I'm really pleased with ours. Green and gold looks pretty classic too.

I think that the electric blue sounds nice. What other colour would you have? What writing / graphics are you going to have on it? What colour is the interior?

The lighter colours are better because they don't show the scratch marks when they get a bit older. The darker colours seem to show the lighter undercoat paint when they get marked.

Sounds very exciting - you are so lucky to be getting a lorry. What chasis are you having it built on? How many horses will it carry?

I was going to stick to white or silver for mine as it does'nt show tree scratch marks as much as a darker colour - as low branches often can't be avoided!!!

Bet you can't wait, its soooo exciting!

The electric blue does look great... I was thinking either silver or a darker blue lettering and logos. But I don't know what sort of logos they have on

light colours keep the box cooler in summer, so i'd always go for a white roof if pos, and the sides in white, cream or silver mainly, and then whatever graphics you like. i have silver now and it's lovely.
as far as graphics are concerned, the stylised ones of a horse jumping are my favourites... like the old Lawrence David Event Team lorry. anyone remember that?!

My box is a metallic champagne with red stripes and logo. I think it looks lovely and fairly easy to keep looking clean and tidy.

Your new box sounds lovely, and the electric blue sounds very smart, just out of interest who are you getting to make your horsebox??
