Are there any horsebox dealers around the northwest that I can take my van 3.5t van to to sell it for me or buy it from me to sell on in the New Year? I've Googled but I can't see any, hoping I'm looking in the wrong place.

I got a trailer during peak prices after COVID (🤦‍♀️) delivered from CMS trailers Huddersfield. It wasn’t cheap, it wasn’t expensive. They delivered for a reasonable price and the trailer is perfectly good/as described. I told them what I wanted/budget and they showed me what they had. All done over Facebook messenger which felt a bit of a gamble but they were fine. Mostly Ifor Williams I think.

How doable would Newark be for you? I sold my previous one via First Horseboxes and found them pretty straightforward to deal with and if memory serves think it sold within a few weeks. Obv got less for it into my pocket than if I’d done a private sale myself but they did allow it to arrive on the back of a recovery truck after it broke down on my driveway!

Also not local but if it’s a 3.5 ton I think Polly Xantos (sp?) at Travel Two does travel to collect if it’s something she thinks she’s got a buyer for / something that isn’t currently broken!

There was one near Birmingham, central England horseboxes I think. They sell for you and have a mixed reputation.

Since it's only a van it might be worth seeing whether any independent used car dealers sell vans and seeing if they'll take it.

Kidderminster. They ignored a message I sent them earlier this year.

I've got a viewer from the livery yard this morning, and have been recommended a local person who deals and he has said he will sell on commission for me, and the original builder has asked for photos and might buy it in to sell on.

Thanks for the help everyone.

The only one I would not recommend after bad experience is horsebox sellers.
