Hi,
I am new to H&H forum and I am afraid I am after some help immediately! I have just nursed my recently acquired loan horse back to full "competition strength" health and being optimistic about the forthcoming show season, I am looking to acquire a 2 horse horsebox (not trailer). I was wondering whether anyone could recommend horsebox dealers in the south of england? I don't have a huge budget but clearly his safety is my prime concern and so any personal recommendations would be very gratefully received. Please feel free to pm if you would prefer and thank you for taking the time to read my request.

Hi There and welcome!!

Not that they are in the South East, but Polly at Travel two horseboxes is amazingly helpful and they do a home approval service. I have recently brought one from her that she uprated for me to 3.9 tonnes so I can travel both my horses as it has a payload of 1.6t . It would be worth dropping her a line.

[/ QUOTE ] Just wondering how they up rated it ?? I guess you will need a hgv plating instead of an class 7 mot ,need to have a full licence taken before 1997 or hgv class 2 to drive it now....

thank you very much for all the replies - you are all extremely helpful and I now have a list to work through!
TKB - i have been in touch with Polly because she has so many recommendations and she went through in a lot of helpful detail the uprating process (simpler in the earlier chassis she said) Trouble is she is at least 3.5 hours drive away from me and i would need to see it and commit before she could do the work on the uprating...bit of a chicken and egg situation.
thanks again to all who replied - i am a bit overwhelmed by the level of response on my first posting!
