Hi All,

Has anyone had good / bad experiences when financing the purchase of their new horsebox or trailer.

I can only find a few companies out there and am looking for finance a new 3 stall box.

Any help would be appreciated.
 
I used Lombard to finance mine over 4 years it was the best deal for me. That was 7 years ago so i now own it yey lol!!!

Only thing is i recently found out Lombard have closed there doors now to new customers atm i was quite shocked tbh.

Have the people who your buying the lorry off got any finance available??
 
Normally a normal loan from a bank is cheaper than specific finance for vehicles. Don't know if you'll get it but it's worth a try
 
Thanks for the reply. I did call Lombard and they said they no longer do horseboxes, heard the same from a few other banks. Lombard said we need to speak to a specialist horsebox finance company, but gave no names.

We are looking at a couple of suppliers, two ask customers to source their own finance and two promote a company called Peregrine Finance, might give them a call and have a chat.

Always nice when you are financing to get a recomendation of someone who has had a good experieince.

Hopefully in a few years we will have paid for this one also!
 
Try the bank for a loan but dont say what its for! just say its for a car or home improvements or something
 
Borrow the money from your bank or building society, there is no need to tell them what it is for, it's not really any of their business when it is an unsecured personal loan.
 
Normal bank loan for a "vehicle" would cover it!!
