I have a 7.5 ton horsebox which is compact. horse area is 2 horse forward facing and 9ft long and about 8ft wide. It has thick rubber mats over the top of aluminium floor with about 2.5 inch thick wooden floor under that. My problem is the alumnium floor has oxidised and powdered in places due to a leaking sun roof. The sun roof has now been replaced and the floor underneath is fine. I have lifted the mats and removed and the only bit which is at all really affected is the bit in the middle aabout 2 inches wide where 2 rubber mats meet (side to side) and a tiny bit where the horses poo. is there something i can put down to seal the floor, can i cut the affected aluminium out and replace or I see Roinsons have packs of liquid rubber floor for £99 which does 1.8M2. however my partitions lock into the floor and roof and are full height so i dont want to end up with my partitions not fitting heightwise. Any suggestions please.
