I think you have to be careful as depending on what you have, it may be classed as advertising and it may affect your insurance.

Yes there are rules, but only if your horsebox graphics are on your lorry advertising a product or service.
If advertising a product or service, you will need to have your lorry registered as commercial, and have a service done every few months, and also keep a log book on all your journeys.
If you want to advertise, the best thing to do is put the info on the back loading gates/doors of the lorry.
Otherwise, for any other graphics, there is no rules, although i did read in HH that they are trying to bring in a new law in a few years to have yellow strips on the sides of your lorry.
Hope that helps.

Yes true what the op said... If you have a sponsors name or advertising, name of a stud, clothing manufacture etc then it could be classed as comercial hire or reward.. which you would need an operators licence , planed maintanace a nominated person (transport manager) use the tachograph and keep records , conform to drivers hours regs , the same as a haulage company does unless the lorry is under 3.5 ton then non of the above applies..
however general graphics ie stripes, pictures etc should be ok just avoid anything that looks like your running a business or getting sponsorship on the bigger lorrys

Yes perfect 11s is right there. The implications of putting any advertising on your wagon means an operators licence and the wagon has to be treated as any commercial haulage company. Stripes or swirly stuff is fine, in fact helps to break up the colour.
Good luck with picking the wagon up today! How exiting for you!

Do you mean advertising graphics or the new reflective graphics that was mentioned in horse & hound last week?

If is the latter, the article was the first I knew about it and I don't know any more than what was written.
