I think i have finally persuaded OH that we really need to upgrade to a lorry, found policy of leaving smelly rugs in the car after events to be very effective! I am looking for a compact lorry with day living and a luton for very occasional overnighting. I have seen the peper harrow twin trophy and this has many features i need but i would prefer rear facing. Any suggestions as to other makers and/ or opinions on this maker would be very much appreciated. The other option would be to try and buy a second hand one, which for same budget would probably be a higher spec but OH is less keen on this as he does not have a mechanical bone in his body. Any opinions on this welcome.PM if you prefer. Thanks

Remember that a new BUILD only means just that. The Chassis will not be new in any shape or form, some horsebox builders tend to build on really pants chassis so as to keep the costs down... SO my #1 tip for you is to get it inspected by a mechanic whatever you do- whether you buy from a dealer or via private sale.

The Peper harrow look very nice, they dont seem to come up very often 2nd hand which is a good thing i guess as people dont want to get rid of them! Basically if you want a compact box you can go for a 6.5 tonner that 'has a nose' so a van coach built type thing...or you could go for a 7.5tonner 'normal lorry' witha 16ft body- which are quite hard to find 2nd hand it seems... or so im finding, these arnt actually overall much longer than the 6.5 tonne ones and to me seem more sturdy and most travel herringbone although some travel forward facing.

Anyway, best of luck finding a lorry- ive been looking for what seems like ages and all im doing is drawing up a longer list of requirements!
