I know there's the lovely guy at Halycon Horsebox hire but that means travelling all the way to Bristol when I only want to go to a local show. So... does anyone know any small companies or places where I can hire a 3.5t horsebox for the day? I'm in Street, Somerset so anything around there, Wells, Glastobury, Yeovil, Taunton.

I have googled and hunted as much as I can with no luck.

Alternatively, would anyone with a 3.5t horsebox be willing to hire it out? Or share it for a split of costs?

Long shot I know, but you never know unless you ask....

Hi :) I've got my eye on a couple if I can get there lol. There's one on Sunday July 18th at Cossington (Polden & Bridgwater RC open day) and would love to go to the Dunster show in August but entries have to be in by July 1st so me thinks I won't have anything sorted by then lol

Hi there,

Unfortunately I'm not going to the July 18th show (we're away) and Dunsters a bit far for me - is that Minehead? I could potentially offer you a lift to the Somerton Horse Show on 31st July? We've entered the coloured ridden class which may interest you?

I don't know if that's any help?

And judging by the fantastic coloured in your signature, I don't know if I welcome the competition LOL

:)

Thank you so much for the offer coblogic :) I am hoping that someone at my yard will give me a lift to the Somerton show, it;s only about 5 minutes from us (in Butleigh) and a couple have offered, but if that falls through, I may well take you up on the offer, if that's ok?

Either way, my boy is only 2 and not broken for riding so he won't be any competition for you lol. We're going to do a few of the in-hand classes so if you're doing the coloured one, you may well see me there :D

You'll have to come over and say hi if you see me, or post a pic of your horsey so I can scout for you hehe :)

Hi there, sure - keep us in mind.

You'll know who we are because we'll come last :) We always do in showing classes.

I'm just taking him along for a day out (and to eat ice-cream)

Hope to see you there :)

Ah he's a traditional coloured cob type, similar to yours, but he has headshaking so it's difficult to impress in the show ring. But like I said, its just fun to get out and about :)

What are you hoping to do with your lovely youngster when he's all grown up? :)
