Hi everyone

I am going to hire out my lorry for transport

For people that do this who does everyone insure with ect ? And what did they need when they started the business thanks

Hire out with yourself driving of self-driver?

Everyone I know who did self-drive regretted it as people just don't treat the vehicle in respectful ways and don't report damage or odd mechanical "feelings" ...

That aside, my friend used Adrian Flux as a broker for her commercial transport insurance. But I don't know if she's ever needed their services, so bit of an empty recommendation (sorry!).

A very good friend did this with her almost new 3.5 lorry. She lasted about 18 months.
She became on 1st name turns with the body shop, I recall it was off the road several times in the 1st year, scrapes to bodywork, dented door, broken front wing, damage to inside by horses. Plus also keys lost at an event so she ended up going out a 2 hr run with spare set, brought back filthy inside. Clutch burnt out too!
It was a good idea but she missed events too while it was either on hire or off the road getting fixed

I have a second lorry to use for myself so going to use the other lorry as hire lorry , lucily dad is mechanic so can fix things easily 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
