Horsebox Hire

Thought id get more response in here:

Does anyone know any places in Hampshire (preferably Andover area) that do self-drive horsebox hire? It must be self-drive, i dont want to pay for a driver!!

I know about New Forest Horsebox hire which is a possibility, am waiting to here back from them. But they are a bit far out for me to go to collect it.

Was going to mention them, they are less than a mile from my yard which is handy!(well for me anyway)

Are they any good? Its about 30mins from my house..... And then an hr to my yard from theres but i really cant find anything nearer

I've never actually used them, but see the lorries on the road all the time and the girl who owns it seems very nice. I certainly plan to use them if I need a lorry as I only have a trailer at the moment.

They also seem well thought of by all the locals so should be good.

The pink machine is going to be pink no more

Its going in for a 'tart-up' and a respray at Equicruiser, hopefully next week, but its going to take 4weeks to do and altho im not competing ive got a lesson with Emile and a lesson with Andrew during that time so i need some transport!!

Its just down the road from my new yard which is handy. We're having other things done, not just a respray - the respray is taking around 3wks tho.

My lorry is exactly like that (built by ABI as well) but with black where the navy is on that box.......I do wish I'd had it done in pink though

I thought you had an Abi box - i was going to get black but think ive decided on dark silver at the top instead.

Secondly, and i hope you dont think i am being cheeky, how big is your lorry and roughly how much is the respray costing you? I have a hgv i need respraying but anticipate the cost to be horrendous!! pm me if you prefer

They dont do self drive tho? But i did try getting in touch with them and couldnt find a number or website that was active?

I'm sure Weyhill do self-drive, I'm sure one of Tam's liveries hired a small box to take herself to a clinic recently. I could be completely wrong though!

I have hired from CB's transport in Titchfield before and they were very good, cute little blue box. Can't remember tel no but they advertise in H & H.

So now im back to square one

Unless FieldFare hire out boxes like they hire out their two trailers? Don't think so though.

Dont know if it helps but Manningtree horsebox hire www.essexequineselfdrive.co.uk will deliver for 40p a mile and they have a good mileage allowance, we had to use them in an emergency and they let us pick up at midnight to get our horse to the vets .
