May sound a silly question but I'm selling my box and so want to insure it with someone who will give me as much of my money back as possible as I'm going to be a full time student. Anthony Evans give 75% after one month, 60% after 2 months, 50% after 3 months, 40% after 4 months and keeps dropping bascially by 10%. Anyone know any companies that are better rates than that? I'm guessing it will take a few months to sell it and I'm still waiting for a garage to sort the ramp.Thanks.

Even if they let you pay monthly, the pro-rata cost of the insurance plus the cancellation fee is still payable to the insurance company upon cancellation so it makes no difference if you pay monthly or in one lump sum.

Do any of the comparison websites display 'at a glance' cancellation rates?

Anthony Evans are a broker so their cover will be placed via an actual insurance company. Most insurance companies will charge short period cancellation rates in the first year of insurance to cover their costs for the setting up of the policy and issue of documents.

Try some other brokers for quotes - most of those with the best deals advertise in all the horsey mags - and ask what their cancellation scales are but you need to compare this to the rate you are being asked to pay for the annual policy. A cheap annual policy with a poor rebate could prove better for you.
