Ive finally found my new box after lots of scouring adverts etc, and as im picking it up this weekend i need to organise insurance for it! I was just wondering who everyone uses and your experiences with various companies.

Thanks in advance!!

I used Anthony D Evans, and never had a problem with their customer service. You can also bring your premiums down by limiting your mileage. But you might be able to do this with other companies too, I'm not sure. I never had to use them for a claim though so don't know how good they are here.

Ive just insured my first horsebox, didnt bother ringing arround as I was really happy with the NFU quote. Box is insured for £20k and the insurance fully comp with full breakdown cover was £315. It isnt any driver though as that was over £400, its for me and my hubby only.

That sounds great, i called NFU this afternoon for a quote and they're going to get back to me tomorrow. I hope its as reasonable as yours Louby!! Thats a great price!!

another vote for NFU but don't use the breakdown recovery as its changed and we weren't impressed-they wanted to stick our horses on a low loader!

Have changed breakdown recovery after that experience

Thanks for that Foraday, we got a really good quote from them today for the fully comp ins which includes accident recovery and have been debating whether to go with the additional breakdown recovery as well but if your experience is anything to go by i think we will give it a miss. May i ask who you use now for breakdown recovery??
