Lol curtains are EASY - even I managed them. You need the material (i do the width of the actual window plus 2 inches), heading tape and patience.

I got some super heavy weight material from ebay but Dunelm are really good if you have one near you.

Basically - sew a hem all the way round, sew on the heading tape at the top and bottom of it. There you go DONE!

You will need fairly high density foam for a mattress and I would suggest covering it in a waterproof material for in the lorry cos of dampness issues. You can in fact get foam mattresses on ebay as well.

Good luck.

Thanks, I think my mum has a Dunelm near her up North... maybe I can ask her to make them too!!! LOL!!

Good idea re: waterproof material... didnt think of that..Cheers!!

I bought my curtains from ebay and shortened them. I also bought a duvet cover from ebay for the seat covers. The foam for the seats came from a chopped up old arm chair that was going to the tip. I have a normal double mattress in the luton with a dark coloured sheet over it.

I got mine from Soapers, don't know if they have Soapers near you, but I only paid £20 for a pair of curtains ready made, then bought the hugest pair I could find and my friend made the seat/cushion covers from them! V. cheap and look great!

Or the other suggestion made to me, was go down the tip and take the leather off an old sofa someone has binned

Blinds here too!

For a bed, we have an inflatable mattress, with a pump that works off a car's cigarette lighter, so we pump it up before we leave the yard - eh Voila!

So did we including one to cover the cut through from cab to living. Seem much nicer than curtains and a lot less hassle.
