Ok so my new horsebox should be coming home on weds! **bounces round the room** The builders have done the outside, and the horse area, and my dads made partitions and rug rack ect. (He owns metal company)

The living is unfinished, it has a toilet in, and spot lights! My dad is going to fit it out. So what i am asking is.. do we just get kitchen unit from B&Q ect? Also would we need a generator? Any other hints, and tips?

Thanks!

We are doing one up just now. Kitchen from B&Q sale for about £200. If you compete at venues with electric hookups then probably manage without a generator, but they are always handy to have. You can get on new for about £100. We mananaged last season eventing just with gas & leisure batteries & a BBQ!

Oops yes should have said that thanks P_G ours is an HGV so can take the weight of a standard kitchen. You may need to look at lightweight caravan units if you don't have much weight to spare.

Put a light switch in the luton so you don't have to get out of bed to turn it off. I find a Leisure battery (£39) is enough for me, but I am only running a water pump, lights and a TV, that will last me 7 days before I have to charge it up again - also very quiet!

We bought MDF and made our own base units and fitted the fridge/oven into it and bought doors from B&Q to go on it.
