Eventing Horsebox living materials

I'm going to build a bench and a cabinet on my horsebox grooms area. I've been doing that kind of diy at home so I'm sure I get it done but I have a question about the materials. What kind of plywood have you used for the furniture? I know that the one on the walls is the very thin one but have you built furniture frame from wood and then just added thin plywood around or have you used thicker plywood for the furniture? Also in most of the livings the corners are done with metal trims, what have you used?

Lightest way is to look up caravan scrap yards, the fixtures and fittings are often quite cheap, and are very light indeed.

Unfortunately the scrap yards haven't really had what I'm looking for. Found a nice looking material called superva which seems perfect for building the living (unless it's crazy expensive, haven't asked yet). Just still wondering about the corners, is there any particular reason why many use the metal? In the lorries with a big living or some new smaller ones they don't have it.
