I'm hoping to have a 7.5t horsebox manufactured to my spec this year on a second hand chassis and I know that there are some manufacturers to stay clear of due to build quality and safety.

Ones I am looking at the moment are KM Horseboxes, ICE Horseboxes, Freddie Gover Horseboxes
Has anyone experience of these or would recommend others? I've discounted Cooke and Kevin Parker as out of price range.
Happy to be messaged if you'd rather not give your view publicly :)

Also, most seem to be automatics but I've always had manual. Are there any advantages or disadvantages or additional costs of one over the other?

Not personal experience but KM Horseboxes have been recommended to me by a friend who has extremely high standards!

i had a box made by Freddie gover. it was a 3.5 uprated to 3.9. Wasn't the cheapest but very solid and well made with safety top of the list.
