First, thanks DieselDog, you've just saved my life. i rang my garage to sort out about the mirrors, thought i'd better just check when plating's due (i thought it was end of June) and it was the end of May, ooooppppssss, luckily they've managed to book me a slot and will get it done next week.
Also, they have mirrors, mirror arms etc in stock apparently, so if anyone really can't get hold of any, pm me.

Phew that was lucky. Mrs T the wide angle mirror is good, but I can never see myself using the kerbside one. Also now everytime I go near a hedge I think grrr expensive mirrors.

Having driven said lorry home with the brand spanking new mirrors I would agree with you about the kerbside one. Most benefit I can imagine with the wide angle one is at slip roads etc. Have already decorated the said expensive mirrors with leaves.
