Hypothetically speaking... ;)

If I had a £5k budget - would it be possible to purchase a 3.5t which would be LEZ compliant?

Where is the best place to look? And what are the potential pitfalls that I should watch out for? Is my budget realistic?

Most importantly, can it be done?! :)
 
OH said to get a diesel one as petrol would be too much in running costs???

Any truth in this? Or can I go back to looking at bedfords and dreaming of revamping old lorries ;)
 
A petrol engine will cost a fortune to run, but if you only use it occasionally it might be ok. Getting a nice 3.5t for £5K might be a challenge though, best of luck with that! I'm not sure about LEZ compliance, sorry.
 
I think you will struggle for that budget, I paid more than that for mine, got a very good deal as it was converted by someone i know and its still 3 years too old to be LEZ compliant. Sorry that's not what you wanted to hear.....good luck in your search
