Horsebox Ramp, a new one anyone?

I'm having one done on friday

My last box we managed to just replace the boards but my newer box, part of the metal is bent from where the old owner reversed into something.

I cant comment too much on price as my husband works in the fabrication industry hence hes the labour!
Hes taking it into work and doing after hes finished, he boss is charging him £50 for the metal. So my cost will be £50, some drinks for hubbys work mate who is going to help and then the cost of the wood for the ramp. IF i was paying full price, i imagine it would come to maybe £400? (thinking is steel is about £50, wood about £50, labour £300?)

Another option i looked at was to buy a ramp off ebay etc and have that fitted, but it all depends on if there is one the right size!

I would suggest taking a photo, getting some measurements and asking some engineers for a price. I'd also ask horsebox companies but i imagine they are a lot more expensive. If they could use the springs etc off your existing ramp, that would also help cost wise.

I'll get my hubby to ask his boss roughly how much it would be if i were a normal 'paying' customer so to speak.

If the job is done properly and the aluminium, wood and rubber matting is all replaced with good quality new material I would expect to pay no more than £1,000.00p. Then you may have to pay an additional fee to have the aluminium resprayed to match the rest of the vehicle.
