The ramp on the back of my 7.5T has a gap where the ramp ends and there is about an inch drop to the 'seal' before the step up to the lorry floor. The pony today managed to slide her foot into it when loading and although she is fine this time it is something I do not want to repeat! It is not damage to the lorry it is just the way it is made.

Has anyone solved this before? It's the rim of the ramp so I can't foul it - I thought about hinging a bit of wood so I can flick it down but the hinges would foul the ramp.

Any ideas?

our solution was more drastic as I wouldn't accept any gap. We eliminated it by OH moving the hinges that the ramp pivots on closer to the lorry floor. It worked.
