i really want the black and white in horse area can i do it myself? well can my boyf do it he's very DIY anyone done it themselfs?

We got new partitions made by a local steel fabricator, they are loads stronger than the glasonite ones, and were made to measure at £120 each.
The rubber can be sprayed on the floor (double check the condition of the floor first as it then hides any deterioration).
A spray job can be wildly different estimates, so ask around.
The rubber matting on the walls is availbale in horse and hound.
The biggest job I can see is fiting the wall bars that carry the partitions, they must be very solid and secure because in an accident the horse's weight is greatly multiplied as it hits the partition and the force goes on the pins. our horse went through the glasonite partition, the pin flew out and we had them modified and as above changed the partitions afterwards.
If he's handy it isn't a difficult job, why not look at Foxlea horsebox bits website, you can buy the lot form them.. and they're local to you.

My OH built my lorry from scratch and he's just very good at DIY. Only last week he has refitted the horse area. I have been having big worries about the floor - it's still sound but I haven't been washing the back out because I have enough wet in there with my three incontinent equines soaking it every trip. The removing mats and mopping-out and drying with shavings after every trip was getting too much. And even so, I didn't feel my box was ever clean, as I couldn't wash the walls.

He re-checked the floor. replaced a narrow strip along the side behind the horses and made an aluminium 'gutter'. After putting a drain-hole in each corner (lined with a small plastic waste-pipe) he fibreglassed the entire floor and about 6" up the walls. I got new wall matting and had the partitions he built (from box section steel) galvanised. Hey presto! I have a fully hosepipe-able and peeing-pony-proof lorry that looks as good as new! No 'seepage' into the living or tack locker, either

You are handy for Hartwood Elite Components. John's helpful and has always been good for any bits IME. Saved me lots by refusing to sell me an ally floor when he certainly could have!

iv got wings on the end ill just paint them white and got a good strong partition..

need wall in middle to separate living and horsey

and whats the white stuff on walls called?

Last year I spend £3500 on my little transit doing just that! I had new floor and rubber matting, new sides and luton with partitions and proper windows. I have the ramp stripped down and adjusted so I could manage it myself and a grooms door put in!
