So chuffed having just bought from a friend a 7.5t Leyland Roadrunner, even considering renting my flat out and moving into it
! Anyway, it is a 1988 and so doesn't have any seatbelts. Of course Mum is now eating her heart out at the thought of us going head first through the windscreen. I just spoke my mechanic friend about having seatbelts retro-fitted, but he said that doing so could open a whole can of worms with regards to MOTs, certification etc. and that it might be better to let sleeping dogs lie with the truck being legal as it is. I just got a quote from a seatbelt company of £150 per belt
Would you leave it be on the premise that aside from being a slow vehicle anyway, there is not an awful lot that is likely to stop 7.5t dead in its tracks? Or would you continue down the route of getting them fitted?
