Horsebox Storage. how much?

Oh I've no qualms with charging for horsebox storage, I don't think it should be free by default and would happily pay to keep one if I had one!
But you can't deny the tone GW took wasn't exactly neutral ;)
Maybe like me, she’s been on the receiving end of those liveries that, even though you give them a facility free gratis and for nothing, apparently it’s not enough, they then want to be able to get the jet wash out and give it a wash down at your expense? And when you say no, you’re a bitch??‍♀️???

I think £20 a week is very steep and personally it would factor into me NOT choosing a yard if I was looking. I currently pay £5/month on hard standing, security involves CCTV and padlocked gates. This is the first yard I've paid at, last yard parked on a muddy lane for free, previous to that parked on hard standing for free.

We do not have liveries any more but when we did we did not charge for lorries/trailers. However aslways one person did not start her lorry in 3 years, lost interest and virtually abandoned it. I guess if there was a charge this might not have happened?

There will always be someone more than happy to take the piss and throw any good will back in your face!

It’s varied from free/included in livery to £10/week depending on the yard.

The £10/week was at a smart full livery yard in a purpose built undercover area with good security.

The most common has been around £5/week on cheaper DIY or included in the price on more expensive DIY.

I think £20/week is a lot and would be looking for alternative parking

the tone matched that of the op.
The ! at the end of being asked for was not exactly neutral either.
I just get astounded at what prices are bandied about as being extortionate when it comes down to keeping horse's, why shouldn't the yard owners charge 20 quid, it may be they are putting the price up-to get rid of the livery, they don't want rust bucket eye sore boxes parked on their land. That's the yard owners prerogative and maybe they are trying to increase their income so the yard can remain open?
