Horsebox Tracker Help!

I had one in my old lorry from a company in Cranfield, Beds. Sorry cant remember the company name. Basically they come and fit it to the chassis of your lorry (as the box bit could be removed) in one of 47 places. I didnt even know where it was. There were two tracking options, I paid 10 pound a month and if it was stolen I had to notify them and they would track it then. The other more expensive option is that they track it 'full time' as it were. I havent one in my new lorry as I figured I pay insurance and would I want it back if someone had stolen it ? It didnt reduce my premium but then it wasnt an expensive lorry.
 
I have just had one fitted to my new build lorry and most definitely would want it back. The one I have had fitted is from Tracker Network (UK) Limited, went with them as I am already a customer of theirs.

I chose the option that monitors movements, they ring you if they think there may be a problem and you have to confirm if the vehicle is secure etc. I paid of a life subscription and it cost me around £700. Hope that helps.
 
You can buy a a mobile phone dialler and some magnetic contacts and if any one opens the door of the lorry it will send a text message your phone. If you have a seperat battery then it will continue to send texts even if someone disconnects the main battery.. There is a website called Follow Me which you can join for a small amount and every time your phone sends a text it will show you on the map where the phone is. I think Maplins have these items on their website and we are talking tens of pounds not hundreds.

i have 2 of their products, if an alert is made they ring my mobile and see whats going off - 1 day they rang me to say my car was moving and did i know - i was out at a show, ran to the trailer when I saw my horse rocking the trailer and car - she hadnt actually set the trailer tracker off but the landy one instead lol

I have Datatag in my Ifor williams, but I have no idea how it works, I really should look on the net and work it out.
