A long shot......Does anybody know if such a service as one whom will transport a 3.5tonne horsebox from England to Scotland is available???

Never seen anything advertised or heard anyone chat about one...but who knows!!!

Haha fuzzy furry, I was waiting for that.

Can't say I haven't run out of petrol in Worcester and "had a look" and hoped the aa don't notice the plug missing...

Only problem with people like me, without sounding big headed, were expensive. I have to pay for the diesel, wear and tear, trailers upkeep, insurance And my time. It all tots up and sometimes you get.people who somewhat think your ripping them off when really, your not making £5 an hour.

Trade plates are very costly, and personally, I would not use trade plates to drive a vehicle that distance.

There are websites that u can go on and put what u want and people make u an offer to move ur vehicle. A friend of mine did this with a 4 x 4 she bought on eBay. I'll find out the website n let u know.

I should clarify, I mentioned trade plates as an idea. Personally, I would not use them for that distance.

I use them for vehicles that are not taxed or insured or both.

I only use them when a vehicle does not have mot when I am taking a vehicle for said mot.

I would never ever entertain driving a vehicle that far without an mot.

Ideally depending on size you need a flatbed/transporter.

The said vehicle is more like an old style van.

I dare say it would be drivable but its such a long distance and would also then have to pay for diesel 3 fold....1 - take a vehicle to pick it up, 2 - drive horsebox home & 3 - return home with the original vehicle...just to expensive!!

I figured it would be cheaper with a transporter

Suzie G would be great if you could find out that website

Can you pm me postcodes?

I can't see it being cheap, namley down to the fact whilst transporting smaller goods/animals you can share loads, do various pick ups/drop offs along the way. With a vehicle it would be the one job soley, alternatively an artic Lorry picking up/dropping off to dealers etc.
