Horsebox value???? No clue.

I have no idea what my horsebox is worth and wondering if someone could help. I've asked around and had values from 3k-7k so mega mega confused!!

It's a 1996 7.5t iveco, 3 horse/pony short wheel Base. Unladen is just under 6 tonne so can actually carry three :)

Good solid engine, never had any problems. Ex council lorry so full service history etc. Cheap to run (for a box) never had any problems with it.
Coachbuilt, but I've taken the sink/hob/fridge out as no need for it personally.
Radio and sur round speakers, internal camera, all rubber matted etc.
Easy tilt cab which I can do myself. Large cut through
12 months MOT no advisories.
I'd say it was pretty tidy.. living is very basic with just seating and storage but had it redone last year.
It's blue ;)
Oh outside storage too.. but go into the horse area not the living.

I'm a 21 yr old lady with no clue at all lol..
 
Might be worth phoning a horsebox reseller (eg. Priory, Central England, etc) to see what they suggest.

You could carry 3 ponies but would not be able to carry three decent sized horses with your payload once you add in driver, passenger(s), kit, diesel, etc.

Yes I meant 3 horses/ponies :).l think the weight is 5.8 tonne x

Petrol or diesel?

Any advisories on the last MOT?

Would it be worth getting your MOT garage to write a brief report on it?

And don't forget lots of photos in the advert, inside and out, including the engine compartment after you've had it power washed!

Can't help you on value. Look at completed listings on Ebay? Autotrader? H&H?
 
Taking the hob etc out is a double edged sword, on one hand it will significantly reduce the value as most people looking for a lorry want those in it, however on the other hand if the lorry is too heavy it becomes very difficult to sell.
 
If it helps I have a 1995 iveco but it has full living and sleeps 4. V tidy and no tack lockers into horse area. It was also built by a professional horsebox company. I paid £8.5 last year and had to move very quickly to secure it.

Difficult to say without looking at it but I would imagine you may be able to get £5k for it if it's a reliable box which looks tidy. As others have said definitely get a weigh bridge ticket for it.

Yes I did think that.
I do still have it all so could put it back in if it buyer did want? X

Thank you :) I'd be happy with 5k.
I've had it nearly 3 year- needed to MOT it twice. Think we paid £8k for it xx
 
If the chassis is sound with no significant rust and assuming it wasn't built by a 'name' then I'd estimate in the 4-4.5k kind of area.
