Went to collect horsebox from old yard last week and found someone had scratched something in the side of it right down to the metal I have an idea who it was but can't prove it I paid to store it at the yard who is responsible for putting right the damage?

if you have paid to store it at the yard then they should be insured to cover anything that is damaged on their property. However no doubt you have insurance on the vehicle so your insurers would probably be the ones that paid out for the damage.

If you were paying to store you would hope that they have goods in trust cover that you could claim off (under malicious damage section), realistically a yard is unlike to have this, particularlywith the sum insured you would need.

Try a vehicle body repair/ extreme valet man, you would be surprised what they can make good of with a power buffer.

I wish it's to deep down to the metal ill end up having to sort it myself by the looks not happy someone has jealousy issues at old yard I think
