Has anyone used the guy that advertises on H & H and horsey websites to vet horseboxes. Or can anyone recommend someone in or around Surrey? Also does anyone know roughly how much they charge?
Do The AA do a lorry/van check like they do for cars? Friends have just paid £180 for an AA chap to check the condition of a 2nd hand vehicle they were buying from a car dealership. It highlighted a few problems which the dealers repaired and she's gone away happy. Might be worth asking?
Do you have any friends who are mechanics or your local village garage may have a look. That would be far cheaper maybe . and i would take a knowledgeable horse person to check the horse related bits.
hi if hes based in Surrey, cant remember his name, I used him about 3 years ago when I was first looking. From memory he charges a couple hundred quid so depends on what you spending but he was excellent and seemed to know his Put me off one that I thought was sound by finding loads of stuff "covered up"..in the end I went for a new build as too much stress buying second hand..whats the name of the guy?? would recognise it Im sure and if its him can say!!
I did! last year..at least he has more equine knowlegde than an AA inspection - who i dont think offer them anymore either- we neeeeeeearly bought a box that seemed sound, but he said he wouldnt touch it with a bargepole We called him again to check my isuzu trooper when we bought it a few months later! I think hes called Rupert?
