horsebox viewing questions

I will be going to look at some horse boxes over the next couple of weeks, has anyone any good questions to ask when I 1. phone up and 2. go to visit to try?

It'll be my first proper lorry (currently have a 1981 bedford tk which i cant drive) which I plan to learn to drive in. It must be a 7.5t, no bigger - I'm only planning on doing my C1. I've found about 13 potentially suitable lorries, my two favourites are about 3hrs away mind (Flintshire/Shropshire!) Lorry will be used most weekends, currently only for localish stuff (up to an hour and a half away) but eventually will be used for potentially staying overnight so all suitable lorries been picked with the fact they have a 'bed' area (not all luton style).

I was in this situation recently and asked the same question. Main thing that people commented on was asking about the payload and getting a weighbridge ticket to make sure they're not lying.
