I'm going to fit mine out but is like to hear how everyone else's are laid out/ what's in there.
Any pics would be good too...
Mine is a day type living maybe with a pull down bed for occasional stay aways

Ours has everything in them and I use the microwave, fridge, tv, heating but never the oven or hob ;) Same as home, really!

Ditto .. except we use the oven and hob loads and the microwave hardly at all.. (unlike at home where I almost exclusively use the microwave!)

We also find having hot water is great and certainly something I would now consider essential in a horsebox.

I have a wet room with toilet and shower (which gets really hot with lots of water pressure ) a double bed above the Luton and seats around one side which turn into a double bed. A large wardrobe, 7 other cupboards, fridge with small freezer, hob and oven. I also have blown air heating and air con, TV with a DVD and digital aerial. A table and I have a microwave which I just take when I know I am going to have hook up. I have everything I need really except maybe a generator :)

Cooker which I use a lot it's great to take proper food with you and be able to put in the oven while you are doing stuff.
TV hardly ever used won't put in next one.
Microwave I have never used wont put in next one
Shower can't live without love it.
Will try to get a bigger fridge next time.
And definatly will get leather upholstery.

It depends what you want from it - how often you stay away etc.

I didn't go for wet room - just a wet room sized cupboard (in case I changed my mind) with loo (only portapotti, but essential) and hooks for coats, space for boots etc. All events we have stayed at have had showers (don't stay away much), so have never missed that, but would miss the very useful storage space. You can even put a couple of fold up saddle racks in, so you can tack up from inside if it's pouring! (main tack locker outside)

It's all quite basic - no hot water or heating. Provision to put electrics in if needed, but not felt the need yet. Use the hob and fridge a lot.

Not in living, I know, but water tank with pump and hose to wash down horses I find very useful.

If you do not intend staying away regularly you do not need loads of stuff. I have a fully loaded box which was great when we stayed away all the time. Now we mainly do day traveling we don't need it, just hob, seating and sink would do. But if staying away loads also think about where you are going. Most big shows now have shower facilities and all have catering facilities.

We have a microwave, hob, grill, fridge, large luton (sleeps 2) and then a table with sofa which is made into another bed which sleeps 2. We have got a space where we could have a wet room but ive made it into a tack locker! I dont like external lockers as firstly everything is very easily stolen from them and secondly I dislike the ones that take up space in the horse area.

Mine is really basic compared to everyone elses!
Originally just had a bench seat, hob and sink. We have stripped it out and put seating all round with a wardrobe and table, over head cupboards and storage under the seating. The tack locker goes into the living so the sink and hob are on top of that. Still waiting for the hob to be put in properly as I'm going to have it so I can remove it and put it away when not needed. Getting the water tank for the sink fitted under the lorry rather than in the tack locker like it was before and then having another one for the horses. Also waiting for the lighting to be put in, my oh will get there eventually!
Other than a bed in the luton that’s it, I didn’t really think I needed a oven, microwave etc as I won’t really be doing that many over night shows. I have got an electric cool box rather than a fridge which can be run off the leisure battery as I thought I won’t use a proper one enough.

I don't stay away so mine is only day living

Seats, table, fridge grill/hob sink. saddle racks

separate toilet

loads of storage above luton which could be made into a bed

We did ours out ourselves with some new stuff and wherever possible second hand stuff.

We have a pull down bed which OH made out of wooden slates with an alumium outside frame, seating area, cupboards, loo and shower in a wet room, cooker, hob, grill, sink and fridge.

All has been well used the last few years but as others have said it is very much down to what you do.

We haven't done much competing this year and I think the only things that have been used are the hob for the kettle, the hot water for a bit of washing and the loo. Do like having a loo more than anything else I think.

Whilst we use our box once or twice a week, we only stay away about 4 times a year. We have double bed in the luton and seating/dining area converts to another double bed - however we have found it easier for daughter to sleep on a camp bed than faff with putting the double down.

We have L-shaped sofa seating (with storage under), a small dining table, hob, sink (cold water only), fridge, wardrobe and a range of cupboards. We put a portapotti in the horse area for overnight use when we stay away.

Do bear in mind the weight aspect when kitting out your living, as some of the most luxurious boxes are overweight before you even put a horse in them, and VOSA are stopping more and more boxes to check weights.

All of these are making me very jealous!!

We use a box with sink hob oven etc fridge, table with l shaped seating. Has loads of overhead cupboards and wardrobe. Also has unfitted shower with vanity unit and toilet in.

Does have heating but dont know how to work it and luton that sleeps 2 with one on seating as well.

Its not hook up though which i would definately get in one we eventually buy. So so muvh easier - ie can plug in telly dvd, hairdryer!! And portable radiator kettle microwave etc.

We use our box every week, we do around about 5-6 stay away shows a year
But I am very very lucky to have a oakley supremacy that does have everything you could wish for in it, but if we didn't do the stay away shows then we wouldn't use half that stuff that is in it

I am very lucky to have a lorry with facilities to stay away.

on the left as you go in the door is a wardrobe with cupboard underneath that we use to store boots/gloves/whip/jackets etc. next to this there is the oven - our grill isn't that good so we find the hob and oven more useful. really only use it for heating water, cooking bacon and eggs! above the living window is a cupboard where all the food is stored and a tv/dvd player. on the right as you go in is the door to the horse end, straight ahead is the door to the toilet/shower. on the wall of the driver side is a bench seat which converts to a double bed, a table and cupboards above the other living window.

We also have a luton. and under seat storage.

Its a pretty neat truck and I love it!!

Hmm I'm thinking I'd never really use even a hob or fridge really....like the idea of horse wash tho....
I only need a bed...
I'd rather have payload for horses....
So internal large locker
Pull down bed with storage under for rugs etc.
And tbh I'd eat out and have access to showers etc so no need for ought else.....

Ours was really dated and simple when we got it and we have had it fully ripped and is in the process of having all new gear in! What we have in at the min is wardrobe, seating area, table, heating, sink and hob. Still got little bits like tv,microwave ect to go in but will be pratically done then! It has sleeping in the luton and seating area turns into a double bed, also has hook up which is useful! It is only 7.5t and originally had a huge tack locker in the living but we ripped that out and built a tacklocker into the horse area which is working out a lot better for us! :)

We spend about a month away a year, and take horses out most weeks be it in trailer or a lorry. In our little lorry we have wardrobe for jackets/boots, very important wine bottle holder, sink/oven/kitchen cupboards, luton that sleeps 2, bed for 1 on the cut through, corner/bench seat that also makes double bed, 2 tables that come out at night, cupboards up high we use for drinks, a toilet come wet room, and a TV/PS3. Our big lorry has a little hallway with a shoe wrack and storage, a bathroom with a shower, the 'living' room, with all kitchen stuff etc, loads of storage, double bed on luton that flips up when you're driving so it feels open, and a very large double bed that comes out of the bench seat when table is removed. At the small shows all 5 of us stay in the lorry but at the bigger ones the groom stays in the lorry, my parents in their caravan and me in my tent! I much prefer my tent!

..forgot an essential is a cupboard for hanging jackets in etc...surprising how many boxes don't have one

Wardrobe is a must.
This is a thread i did about my conversion, i had forgot about it when i replied before. You can see what mine looked like before, during and after.
