A 3 stall (not nec to carry 3 but want the space), tilt cab pref DAF but not fussed so long as not Iveco, truck?

Oh, and can't be GRP conversion.

As much make up as you can wear in a lifetime to the successful person!

How new does it have to be? Do you need full living to include shower? I have a daf 45 with tilt cab. It is stalled for 3 with comfortable living. Weighs 5.9t with half a tank of petrol and all my kit to stay away for a weekend and the driver (my dad who is average size). Only thing is it is R reg. starts first turn even on the cold days this winter and has taken me all over the country without letting me down. Practical waggon but not a beauty to look at. PM me if you are interested.

Rust. Cant deal with the welding in old age! I know from experience.....

....and they drive like space hoppers   :o

Rust?:confused::confused:I have seen as many leylands with rot as fords. Its just that it seems the old fords are rusty because most of the old Leylands have died!:rolleyes:As for driving like a space hopper, well its better than a skip on wheels. Incidentaly ,welding is not the way forward for cab repairs. I use an entirely different ,and far superior method (but since it is a trade secret I wont be telling you.) Suffice to say that I can restore a rotted cab and get another 10 years or more, life out of it considerably cheaper than by welding.

Black & Silver is lovely

Guess the one you saw at CEH didn't pan out? They look nice on their website.

I am looking to replace my adored DAF Roadrunner this year and wouldn't get anything but another DAF!

I just prefer DAF is personal preference. Hsd probs with both Ford trucks i've had. Just dont like them.

Why not GRP ?? personaly 15 k budget looks like the choice between a tired old possibly overweight rotten cabbed so called coachbuilt or a newer basic conversion on a much later chassis .. but hey it's your money...

Perfect 11s

I don't want GRP as I want the option of transferring to a new chassis in future and not the limited lifespan of a GRP box.

Thank you for your contribution even if it was rather patronising.

What was the wagon like - the lovely Black & Silver one?

Mike007 - my lovely DAF is X reg (first time around!), which makes her 23 years old with only 84,000 KMs on the clock. So they are around - and she's very insulted that you called her a skip on wheels

I would be carefull about upseting us DAF fans ,we might just tip off someone about the guy with a Found On Road Dead cargo that has a cab thats mostly chicken wire and plastic padding:D

Chicken wire and filler:eek::D:D Vosa have no problem with the repair system I use,and it definately isnt a bodge. Fortunately my old E reg cargo has an absolutely immaculate rust free cab courtesy of having spent almost its entire life on an airport (where they do not use salt)so I save the use of this stuff for all you poor benighted DAF owners. And since phillips commercials now import all the parts for the old cargos from Ford in Turkey ,spares are much cheaper and freely available again. ........Plastic padding indeed.....humpf.
