Horsebox woes

Having sold my horsebox last September when my horse was out of work due to injury as we didn't want it sitting around, I was lucky enough to be able to borrow a box but today that was sold and unfortunately I couldn't buy as it was out f budget. Having looked and been disappointed by the last 4 horseboxes I have been to see I am wondering if there are any horseboxes that are in good nic within my budget.

I have up to 6k to spend there r a few must haves
-cut through
- From year 1991 onwards J reg plus
- 2 horse/3 pony
- full living, don't mind if upholstery tatty as quite like doing that bit.
-must have some plating as need to use it ASAP tax not an issue
- decent body work can't really afford for it to need welding etc fine right away

I Also have a id really like list
- a tack locker
- white an airy horse area
- an lovely new Oakley in my budget haha... Not gonna happen I no.

If anyone on here has one for sale or knows of anyone that might please contact me, I have two horses fit and ready to event an no way to get them out.....

Tricky, I am also looking similar requirements & budget to you. Am searching ebay, H&H, Preloved, FB etc. they are out there, but the good ones seem to be snapped up quickly!
 
I think the key is being willing to travel, if you find one miles away, have a google of horsebox mechanics near by and get them to go and give it a once over and test drive and report back to you. I don't this when I bought a 7.5tn, the box was near me but im female knew ****** all and it had been sat for 18 months, so got a local horsebox firm to do a check on it, think I paid 40 quid.
 
Have you tried horseboxseller.com? My mechanic recommended the site to me as I am also starting to look as my 7.5t Elsie is getting on in years so I am thinking of trading her in for a newer model. Apparently the guy who runs the business takes trucks that have been traded in for new models from some of the big manufacturers. He's in Bicester.

I would love a Kevin Parker Helios, but once again the damn lottery let me down!
 
You'll find something but get it properly checked. Theresa guy in Essex who is very good and advertises widely. Take care with Ford Cargo of the age you're looking for as the rust under cab. I've had 2 that both needed ++welding.

G reg Merc, 2-3 horse with day living. Tilt cab. Years plate. FSH from 2008.

I don't know the lorry/owner. Think its overpriced at 6995, but the advert indicates they are very open to offers, reckon you might get for 5.
