Horseflies!!!!

Probablky done many times before so appologies but just wondered what is the best fly spray for the dreaded horseflies?
Deosect isnt doing a thing for my boy. I react badly to them too and am a laughing joke on the yard in my winter fleece in 22c trying to avoid them.

Light coloured clothing and Avon Skin-So-Soft - seems to work best for us, although of course nothing is 100% against the little beggars!!!

Will be reading this thread after today - this year the horse flies are really bad, for my horse anyway touch wood i don't attract them!
Shame is it was my first hack on my new horse today and i kept hitting her neck, shoulders etc to kill the damn things! At least she didn't think i was telling her off poor horsey!

Thanks, I have skin so soft so will dilute some for the boy. I burnt him one year using it undiluted in the sun. Stupid me.
Thanks for the suggestions, tonight was awful. They were like wasps, running after me. I hate the bu**ers xx
