Im moving my horse to a new yard and at my last place there were 5 horses so we shared a big bale of haylage. Now im going to a much smaller place (mine the only one in at night by looks of it!) i will just be responsible for my own. So I can get Horsehage at a good price due to where I work?
Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts they could share with me? Also how long did a bag last you?
Honey is in at night out by day 15.2hh and a fairly good doer. Currently she gets through a net of about 7kg at night. Anymore and she leaves some.
Im guessing I would need to feed a simialr weight in Horsehage as I do haylage?
Thanks guys your always a fountain of knowledge!

I havent used this year as we made our own but last winter my 16.2 was getting through a bale in about 5days i think but he had a mix of that and hay (but roughly about 7kg horsehage) I found it was much higher in nutrition and he eats much more this year of normal haylage as its differently cut & packed etc. I found it was of good quality and horse loved it so much so he ate that before his corn!! and he is fussy!
Good luck with new yard, if you try it and work out how much yours needs after a couple of days i would guess you will know, i would just say you will probably use less of it.
